NADA Group Acupuncture

Using just 5 acupuncture points in each ear, NADA (National Acupuncture Detoxification Association) has been shown beneficial for hormonal balance, supporting hot flushes, night sweats, and mood swings. It helps reduce stress and anxiety, improves sleep, supports pain and helps detoxification. Many women find acupuncture beneficial for the symptoms that can be experienced during the natural transition of the menopause.

Managing hot flushes and night sweats

Acupuncture has been shown to support the frequency and intensity of the hot flushes and night sweats commonly experienced during the menopause.

Mood swings and anxiety

By engaging the sympathetic nervous system, (rest and digest) acupuncture is beneficial for promoting relaxation and stabilising mood.

Insomnia and sleep disruption

Hormonal changes can alter sleep patterns during the menopause and acupuncture through promoting relaxation, can improve sleep quality and duration.

Pain relief

By reducing inflammation, acupuncture can help to support pain which can be experienced during the menopause.

Overall wellbeing

The aim of acupuncture is to bring the body back into homeostasis which leads to a feeling of increased relaxation and wellbeing and supporting women through the natural process of the menopause.

NADA sessions are held in a group setting to create a feeling of collective tranquility. This creates a supportive environment which enhances the sense of relaxation and healing, amplifying the effects of acupuncture. These accessible, cost effective and emotionally supportive sessions are held in the studio above the Wellum Clinic on Wednesday afternoons with Nyki and Friday afternoons with Rebecca.

COST: £25 per session.

To gain maximum benefit, a course of 6 sessions are recommended although we welcome ladies who would just like to try a session.
